Rafael is a Managing Partner at BDO Interaméricas, Panama office. With more than 25 years of experience in professional services, he focuses on strengthening regional integration in Latin America, driving strategic growth initiatives, and leading operational management. With extensive experience in tax law, he leads cross-border tax planning, regulatory compliance, and advisory services, optimizing complex mergers and acquisitions as well as transactions across multiple jurisdictions. He is a trusted partner within BDO’s global network, where he coordinates international projects, fosters seamless collaboration, and delivers value-driven solutions to a wide range of clients.
 
He has extensive experience in tax planning and litigation, advising on Double Taxation Agreements (DTAs), and transactions governed exclusively by national tax law.
