A Quick BDO's Overview

In a recent interview with "The Business Year" Magazine, Rafael Rivera was asked about how and when BDO started to be a leading tax services provider in the country. The following is his statement on both questions:
 

BDO Panama was founded in 1987, offering an alternative in accounting and tax services.

Joining the BDO International Network 16 years later elevated our profile in advisory, accounting, and audit services, distinguishing us from multinational and regional firms. Our success lies in our close client relationships, blending international network advantages with local expertise to cater precisely to client needs.

For decades, BDO Panama has been recognized as a leading tax ser vices provider in the country, successfully guiding clients through business growth. Our expertise spans complex tax assessments and litigations, alongside advising on business structuring for incoming firms.

In 2021, just after the COVID-19 crisis, we pursued amerger with iThink Panama, a technology and data analytics consulting firm. This strategic move enhanced our capabilties to develop automated solutions, including robotics, to boost client efficiencies and streamline processes.
